Get Moving This Summer: Fun Ways to Stay Active and Healthy

Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors, soak up the sun, and get some movement. Whether you're aiming to shed some pounds, increase your fitness level, or simply enjoy the season in an active way, there are plenty of ways to incorporate movement into your daily routine. As a nutrition coach and fitness enthusiast, I'm here to share some of my favorite ways to hit my movement goals in the summer!

1. Swimming

Not only is it a great way to cool off, it's actually great exercise! Doing a few laps can get your heart rate up and is an entire body workout!

2. Walk or Bike

Take advantage of the warm weather and bring the dogs or kids and get outside. Find a shady trail in the woods or stroll/ride by the lake and then cool off after!

3. Hiking Adventures

Discover picturesque trails, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and challenge yourself with different terrain. Hiking not only provides a fantastic workout but also allows you to disconnect from screens for a bit.

4. Paddleboarding

Try your hand at paddleboarding for a unique and refreshing full-body workout on the water. You'll enjoy the sunshine and cooling water as you paddle away!

Remember, staying active doesn't have to be a chore. By incorporating these enjoyable activities into your routine, you can make fitness a fun and fulfilling part of your summer. So grab your water bottle, put on your sunscreen, and get ready to embrace movement in the most exciting ways possible!
